So, I'm getting some new tires, but my OEM Yokohamas are 215/45/18. I was wondering if I get 225/40/18 if there would be any foreseeable problems. My car is lowered, but I don't think 10mm should be a problem. Right?

you'll have literally zero issues

What is the wheel size? If it is 18x8, that would be perfect. If it 18x7 then the tire will be a little be wider than the wheel, but you should have zero problems. You will just lose a little turn in response, but gain mid corner grip! I am assuming you own an Lancer, and people put 18x9.5s on them so I am sure you will have no rubbing issues.

Should be fine, but what car and what drop? My MS6 has 215/45r18 stock and I can fit 255/40r17 with a ~2" drop with almost no issues.

It should not be a problem.

Mine is also about a 2inch drop.

I'm putting them on my stock 7's, but I'm planning on switching to a wider wheel eventually. I would put 9.5's, but that would need to roll/pull the fenders and add at least -2' of camber to each corner, from what I've been told, or it's going to rub.

What size are you going to go for wheels? I know with an FRS you need to do a lot of modifications to get 18x9.5s to fit, so lots of people just fit 17x9s and call it a day.

Probably just 8.5. Definitely not going into 9 inch territory.

Seems like a good choice. A 225 will fit on that as well, but it will be slightly stretched. I would say go with a 225/45 for your OEM wheel and use that for your new wheels until you need new tires, that way even though they might be stretched they will still have enough sidewall. A few people who had 7" wheels run a 225/45 with no issues, plus they were fast!

You should definitely be fine. No doubt it'll clear the control arm and 10mm should also clear the fenders too. Maybe some rubbing fully loaded over bumps but it should be fine.

Here's the clearance I have on mine currently

I've swapped back and forth between 225 and 215 with no problems.
